BOEUF A L'INDIENNE A bit less than 1100 calories per batch 1 lb Ground Round 1 medium Onion, chopped 1 Green Pepper, chopped (optional) 2 cloves Garlic, chopped fine 1 Tsp freshly ground Black Pepper 1 Tsp ground Cumin 1 Tsp ground Coriander 1 Tsp ground Turmeric 1 Tsp ground New Mexico Chili 1/2 Tsp Salt 2" piece Cinnamon 15 oz can Whole Tomatoes 1/2 Cup Plain Yoghurt In a large frying pan fry the Beef along with the Onions, Garlic and Green Pepper over medium heat until the meat is browned and the Onion is soft. Stir in the Pepper, Cumin, Coriander, Turmeric, Chili, Salt and Cinnamon and cook for a couple of minutes. Pour in the Tomatoes and their juice and break them up with a spoon.
