The Coots will be getting a chance to see what's in the storage warehouses for the Columbia River Maritime Museum. We'll meet in the lobby of the museum at 1:30 before going over to the storage buildings across the street.
We can meet for lunch at the Rogue Alehouse on Pier 39, maybe at 11:30 to beat the lunch hour crowds. The Pier 39 building contains a small cannery museum and some old boats on display. Also a few interesting boats that are just stored there, including a Footloose Skiff last time I was there. The food is decent.
If you want some culture, the Annual Fisher Poets Gathering starts on Friday. It goes on night and day at several locations, but most of the activity is in the evenings.
A NOAA weather forecast for the area.
