Dick Wormsbecher of Longview brought his Ken Swan designed Chica rowing skiff again this year. Dick (in the straw hat) did a fine job building this skiff. Boatbuilder Don Hill of Springfield displayed this Mini Drifter built by a group of kids under his direction.

Jack Brown helps a rowing club racer get out to the starting line in the dory Mighty Mouse Lives. Some Members of The Killer Whales Rowing Club pose with a dory they're building with help from Bill Childs. Don Hill in Springfield, Louie Brochetti in Redmond and the The Killer Whales in Depoe Bay have all been independently working on projects to involve kids in boating. A rowing club race. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, even if the dories didn't always go where they were supposed to.
